The problem
The consultant had paid for lead lists before. What came back was outdated data, dead emails and phones, and employee counts that were off by an order of magnitude. The consultant didn't want automated outreach, and didn't want another monthly fee. The consultant wanted the research done.
What we did
We defined the ideal client together, down to team size, region, and the industries the consultant actually serves. Then we set up a prospecting skill on the client's own accounts that gathers matching businesses, enriches them, and writes everything to files the client owns and opens in Excel.
One detail that matters: during the build, a run produced a hiring trigger that looked plausible but wasn't real. We rebuilt the skill so a trigger has to be a fetched record with a title, a URL, and a date, or it doesn't get written at all. If a lead is in the file, it's verifiable.
What changed
The research is off the consultant's plate, and the control stayed with the client. The consultant reviews everything, sends everything, and owns the data outright. No subscription, no platform, no list anyone has to take on faith.
